In all of Quentin Tarantino's movies music plays an essential role. The first scene of Pulp Fiction is probably one of his most iconic, and it's followed by a high energy soundtrack, which immediately sets the tone for all of the chaos and craziness which is about to follow.

On the 1st of September, Emoción will release a slightly different version of this legendary track. We've kept the high energy, but infused it with something quite different.

Maybe the media storm surrounding #BlackLivesMatter has calmed down, but this topic is still very much alive in our hearts. We've had many long conversations about racism and its consequences and were wondering what would be the best way for us to express how we feel. In the end, we decided to write a song about it and created a music video.

We were honestly quite shocked by some of the comments posted on our YouTube video. Most of them were immediately removed by YouTube itself. These comments, however, have definitely strengthened our resilience and showed us our video is more than ever necessary.

According to our vocalist Sevine, this song is still relevant today as it was when it was first published over 40 years ago. It embodies the complexity of a universal woman. A woman of extreme femininity, strength and pride. A woman who's not afraid to be unapologetically herself in all her colours and poetic imperfections. A mother, a muse, a whore, a city, a nation.

It’s the start of a new chapter for Emoción. The track was recorded at the iconic Metropolis Studios in London and mixed by the Grammy award-winning sound engineer Matt Howe.
